The theatre Is being renovated, although no workers were visible on the site. You are only allowed to walk in about 50 meters on one side, so you basically see almost the same things as looking through the fence on the side. This is all ok and understandable, but they charge 3 for the ticket. They should be honest about it and just close it down. Or waive the ticket fee, since there is nothing to see. On the plus side, the lady at the ticket office was nice, gave us a city map and tips for visiting Cagliari.

Not in best condition, seen many better preserved amphitheatres but... it's almost 1800 years old so gets 5/5 from a history freak like me

Looks amazing, but has to be seen, unfortunately from a distance. Frustrating not to be able to get closer, or even more information from the road side. Uphill, but not too much of a walk. It's a site worth seeing, but needs to be developed more to really be appreciated.

Good to read about the history off the place as well before going gives you more off a feel for it ! Can only go half way round it at the minute

Ok it was nice but could see enough from the fence above the place. Saw a lot of this already in other locations in Italy so nothing new, but certainly it was rather nicely placed within hills but still near the city center.
