Tipperary Energy Agency was established in 1998 as an independent social enterprise. It was set up by the Tipperary local authorities and LIT Tipperary (then Tipperary Institute). Our team of experts are committed to providing a comprehensive range of energy services to all sectors. We have the technical expertise, contacts and ability to access funding that drives sustainable energy projects to succeed. We enable local authorities, communities and businesses to deliver renewable energy projects and become more energy efficient. Our range of services includes strategic energy management advice, energy project management and energy audits. We have led major housing retrofit schemes, pioneering community wind farm developments and numerous successful biomass projects. We strive to implement viable sustainable energy solutions, which will reduce costs and energy use. Our not-for-profit model enables us to provide cost effective professional services at a local and national level. In addition to this, we work and have successfully completed over 25 European demonstration projects. These projects have focused on areas such as Renewable Energy, Sustainable Transport, Building Energy Performance and Bio-energy. This international project experience has helped us develop our skills and expertise even further, while at the same time showcasing our successful renewable energy projects and experience.
