Stayed here in mid-July 2020 - the hostel is open and is functioning quite well after the lockdown. It is an enormous place - the lobby alone is the size of a typical 40 bed hostel. It's across the street from the Old Bridge, with an amazing view from the huge terrace on the 3rd floor. Oddly, the rooms don't face the bridge, they face an inner courtyard. Unlike most HI hostels, this one has a proper kitchen. The brekkie is just carbs and coffee, so I added some eggs I made in the kitchen. I accidentally parked in a private lot attached to the hostel - I never did get clear instructions on finding free parking, so take note. The staff were very nice and did their best to speak as much English as they could, since I speak virtually no French. About the only negative was the lack of comfortable common areas where you could chill or work - the kitchen was the only area with lighting during my stay, so we all camped out in there.

Excellent service! Very helpful staff
It's not youth friendly at all. Its like a big bunker that doesn't have air conditioning or even ventilation during summer. Also if you want to open curtains from a window you can be seen by other guests of the hostel. Food is good, view from terrace is amazing.
Good value for money. Central. Great view. Bring down towel.
A good location, clean and peaceful, only marred by poor management. Good breakfast too.
Excellent place. Beautiful location
