Very cool tour, well organized and informative. The mine itself will blow your mind. What drew our attention and impressed us was the fact that every person working there seemed genuinely happy and proud of their work.

The trip to the copper mine was great: seeing abandoned town and a 1km deep whole in the ground in a short span is a lot. Make sure to make a reservation for the tour in advance and to also confirm it a day before. Do not leave anything in the car for the duration of the tour, and make sure to bring long sleeve and sunscreen.
That is the place where you start the tour to the copper mine Chuquicamata. They are very well organised. You can park on their promise also and they have a bus to bring you to the mine. You have to book in advance your place and be suited with long sleeves, long throsers and solid shoes( no sandals). The tour start at 13:00 weekdays and finish around 17:00. I send them one week before an email but never got a reply, I phone them in the morning and also didn't get an answer, then I decided to present myself at their promise around 12:45 and they took me to their tour... The tour is free but they ask tip for a children association Highly recommended
We were there for the tour, we had send a email to the right adress one week before. but they did not read the mails... The only explanation was: we could not read the email because it was broken and it is holidays so nobody can fix it. This is a very bad treatment, from the largest company in Chili. We are very disappointed by the way this was handled..
Excellent tour in Spanish and English. We called the morning of the tour and were on a waiting list. We made the tour but others did not. Don't be afraid to be on the waiting list because you could get on the tour. Bus is comfortable and air conditioned. There is time to ask questions and look at the abandoned town
It's closed! Due to the current political situation in Chile its not possible to visit the mine.
Impressive tour of the copper mine. Allow 3.5 hours. Bring long sleeves/trousers (to protect from dust) and sturdy shoes. Need to make a reservation ahead of time.
Great place, nice tour, nice views and free!!
