I was on route from Alberta to Vancouver Island when my transmission gave out. They were able to accommodate my utility trailer and had me back on the road in less than 24 hours. Months later everything still A-OK and I would like to point out that I drove my fully loaded truck and utility trailer across the mountains not even an hour after the repair was finished. Goes to show their workmanship and choice of replacement parts are of high quality. Thanks again Dave and all the boys involved. Best of luck in the future.

These guys did an amazing job on my car. I was really concerned before getting the rebuild done as transmission places are notorious for quoting one thing, and then charging you double once it's all said and done. However this was not the case at Astro. Dave gave me an estimate over the phone, and that was exactly what the job ended up costing me. Thanks for a job well done! I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs work on their car, especially if it's transmission/clutch related.
I have been using A Astro Transmission for many years now. I send all my business there.Being a towing company in Calgary I need a shop that treats my customers right and fair. I came to these guys way back in the day ('08) after I destroyed my car's transmission when I first moved here. At the time, I had gone to a few other shops who had either refused to see me, or had misdiagnosed the problem and suggested that my entire engine had to be replaced! Instead, these guys identified the issue and gave me a quote for the job -- and gave me the options of either rebuilding the transmission with new parts, or seeing if there were any parts that could be obtained in a good, used condition. They worked with me and got me on the road with a used component for a fraction of the cost, which mattered a lot to me as a student -- and I've been driving my car problem-free since -- and I've clocked in somewhere above 50,000km since! Since then, these guys (or their sister facility) have always been my first choice whenever I have any auto issues, or need any maintenance done or advice given. I highly recommend them -- and this is why I've taken the time to write out this review.
