We are shocked by the ignorance and neglected nature of the staff at this care home. My father (aged 92) was taken here 5 days ago and shockingly has had 2 falls. What surprises me is that the staff did not put any safety precautions in place after the first fall. He was very lucky that he remained in good health after the first fall. The second fall was simply blamed on him falling off the wheelchair, even though it is their responsibility to protect from such dangers. It was their responsibility to make sure that he gets more attention after the first fall. Anyone could have been sensible enough to know, for example, that placing a belt on the wheelchair would be so beneficial for protecting the patient from such falls. It really shows how irresponsible the staff is. After his second fall, my father was taken to hospital (through 911) due to severe bleeding on the forehead and had to have stitches done. He has been unconscious since then. I want to know what the point of paying this irresponsible and ignorant company is. Im also questioning why the government feels the need to support their business. Its not doing any good to anyone; only hurting more and more lives through their neglecting behaviour.

Do not put your loved ones care into this place. My brother was in there for 10 months and right from the on set things started to go wrong. I gave them the benefit of doubt and wish I hadn't. 90% of the staff are rude, they do not care. The place is dirty, meals are bad. Management is only concerned about their jobs. They lie and steal from the residents. They leave residents in soiled diapers and clothing all day long. When a call bell is sounded they ignore it. They allow a resident who touches others in their private areas to roam lose in their and do nothing about it. My lists goes on and on. They run out of meds at least 2 times a week. If you don't request that they give showers more then once a week, it won't happen. They open mail that they have no write to. They also circle around each other and deny any wrong doing. I have actual proof of them asking staff to lie for them, I have proof they give wrong meds to residents. I have proof the place is a pig pen. They leave your loved ones crying for help in the hall or their rooms.
I was pretty shocked at what I saw in this place, especially after losing a family member there. Neglect, and just sad
I would like to know why the Clifton Manor Director Emile of the nursing staff would allow and have staff be screened and/ or tested for Covid-19 virus inside the facility general meeting area and not outside the front door entrance before entering the building ? I was told today by Emile the Director of Clifton Manor, that this is what Alberta Health Services recommended !! If you think this thru, you will come to find that this approach makes no common sense nor common logic at all !?? To the owner you are missing my point in your last response, so l reworded my question to fit your wording !!: The question still remains unanswered ??? Why do the Screening Indoors and not outdoors for all who enter the facility daily, that is the question ????? Please think this thru ! You stop the Covid-19 virus outside the front door, backdoor, side door, pick a door any door ! Makes no sense nor logic to do the Screening once your inside the facilities, now does it !?
Mom was left in excruciating pain all evening and into the morning before being sent to hospital. There being she was left so long her leg had to be amputated. Employees confused her with another resident of the same name multiple times this caused her son to not be able to say goodbye to his mother. Some of her belongings were lost when we went to pick up, like a lift chair and paintings. Our mother suffered a cruel death and the manor showed very little compassion. The BFS way indeed
