My experience at Summit has been amazing so far. Both my daughter and son love their instructors and have been progressing well. The instructors do an amazing job of mentoring - I believe my kids are being taught the values of personal responsibility and hard work in a safe and supportive environment. I especially appreciate how well all the complications of COVID have been handled. Communication was effective and clear, my kids were able to continue training even through lock downs with virtual classes, and now that we are back in person I feel everyone’s health and safety are being well looked after. I would highly recommend this school!

As soon as you enter the facility you come across with rude and arrogant lady who is the owner of this business. No doubt Master Morris is very good instructor, but professionalism goes to drain when the OWNER and WIFE of instructor controls all the business. She manipulates the attendance/progress/tests from the front office and by influencing the junior instructors all employed by her. If you have lots of money to keep her happy by spending on in-office supplies and extra trainings then your child can succeed otherwise they will face lots of hurdles created for them. No doubt her friend's children are succeeding at impressive pace. Whenever complained Master Morris has raised his hands saying he is instructor only and has no control in office at all. This facility kills your child's self-respect, motivation and morale.

At SMA, instructors and staff were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The policies, lessons and 5 tenets are just and fair - “Earned not given”. My son was a member for about 2 years and for personal reasons we had to end the membership but would rejoin if the circumstances change and my son sees Taekwondo as his calling. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they are holding ZOOM classes to try and keep the momentum going and need to be commended for their efforts. Summit Martial Arts has been awarded as best in Calgary a few times and are well deserved of this title.

My kids and I have been enrolled with Summit Martial Arts for over a year. What impresses me the most about Summit is how Master Morris and the other instructors maintain a very high level of integrity with respect to martial arts training, while treating each student with respect and equality regardless of the student's belt or skill level. Master Morris has an excellent disposition, showing patience and kindness while also being persistent that each student uphold the high standards of martial arts and challenge themselves to their full limits. His work ethic and dedication funnels down to other instructors and students as everyone works to encourage, challenge, and help each other. Although classes require some repetition while you practice the various forms and techniques, something new is always added to keep every class exciting. From a front office perspective, class scheduling is flexible, organized and easy to follow, and any changes to schedules or class structures are clearly communicated. We've recommended Summit to our friends and family, and are happy to be members of the Summit Team.
