First, I want to say that Dumpling House is by far the best Chinese restaurant I have found in the Boston area. The food is delicious and tasty. The price is certainly on the higher side but it's generally worth it. However, I had one of the worst experiences picking up food there tonight. They were disorganized, and had no idea which order was ready or not. Their website which I ordered on said the food would be ready around 7:23. I didn't get my food until closer to 7:50. Normally I wouldn't care but they had little if any precautions in place for covid. The person taking the pickup names down didn't make it clear where your order was in the queue. All she had to do was guess and say 15 minutes for me and I'd have been happy to just wait in my car. But instead she kinda shrugged and said wait outside. I don't mind waiting outside normally but she didn't bother to come out and announce when your order was ready! She only said it inside, and with how slammed they were I wouldn't be surprised if my order WAS ready a little after 7:30 but I didn't get to ask until closer to 7:50. As a result my food was pretty cold by the time I got it. It really isn't rocket science. Have people ALL wait outside and come out with the food when it's ready. Instead Dumpling House allowed people to crowd the door and entrance, preventing any real social distancing. It's kind of sketchy when another customer joked that this could be a super spreader event - it easily could be with how poorly they were organized. I also saw plenty of door dash and grub hub people just as clueless about when orders were ready, so I wouldn't be surprised if the bad reviews for delivery were because of how poorly organized Dumpling House is. TL&DR: awesome Chinese food but don't order unless it's 3pm in the afternoon I guess.

Ordered from door dash to our hotel room and loved it! Scallion pancakes were crisp and tasty, pork scallion dumplings excellent but our favorite were the fried noodles with chicken and mixed vegetables. Where has this been all my life? So crunchy and tasty! Wow! We don’t have this at home! Excellent!
My friend recommended me to try dumpling house and I'm so glad that I did! The seafood rice cake and crab xiaolongbao are sooo yummy. I grew up eating xiaolongbao and this is the real deal I have yet to find a bad dish here, everything tasted so good. Pickup during COVID is efficient and safe.
This is some of the best, most authentic Chinese food you can find in Boston. It’s great. The staff are incredibly kind and hospitable as well. You cannot go wrong ordering from Dumpling House.
Great vegetable buns, very thicky and well stuffed, mushroom filling is very rich with a cut of fresh herbs. The garlic sautéed Shanghai green were also very tender, and perfectly sauced. Definitely will be back to try more veggie dishes, good selection of options
