It is very hard to deal with them. They made a confusion out of our policies and do not answer my emails, answer my calls or call back as promise. Patricia has been handling our account , and we are very dissatisfied with the service. She forgot to made a change, and this means charges of more than 1000 on a lump sum; while the charges were valid, her lack of diligence put us in a hard spot to get all that money. I call the office to inquire about an illegitimate charge, and no one answer back. Wrote Patricia an email again no answer. First Email, I sent to Patricia inquiring about the charge was on Feb 12, today is March 1st and still no answer even thought I call the office after the email and promise an agent would call back. I call back today twice and still waiting for someone to help me. As how things have been with them, I do not recommend these people, and if you still decide to go with them; please do not let Patricia handle your account. It's been a week since, I ask her for a quote for a new product, and not even to take my money she would answer back.

I have personally been a client of Monteiro’s Insurance for around 34 years and now my wife and children are also client's. This is a family run business that cares about their customers, they are not a BIG company that has you going through phone automated prompts in attempt to get a hold of someone. Paul, and his Father before him and their team, have always gone out of their way to ensure their customers are take care of and do what they can to get you what you need and for the best value. Value is a key word, Value does not and should not only mean cheap. Value should be when the person working on your behalf understands your needs and situation and then does what they can to get that for you at the best value. That’s what Monteiro’s does for their customers. I’ve appreciated the Monteiro Insurance Brokers Teams support over the last 34 years and look forward to continuing to be a client for years to come.
They have the worst customer service. Once you buy insurance from them, they’ll forget that you exist. I cancelled my plan 2 months ago and I’m still paying for it every month. Every time I call them I get a reply that we will call you back and no one ever calls me back. They just say broker is busy with another client. If you can’t deal with your current clients why do you accept more clients. Also who don’t you have a separate department to deal with cancellation and customer service!??? Such a ridiculous service for the price I have paid.
As a former client I called on a Friday at 1 pm asking for a quote. They said that they will call me next week (I wonder if they will say that when I need them). So when the called me back they said is that they were busy - which is fine, I get it. But as they know that I'm also Portuguese they said it in Portuguese which I didn't like because they were using the culture against me (can't say I'm surprise getting this from them). Also, they quoted me on the higher end of the scale than the other 70 brokers/direct insurance I called (keep in mind this varies from many variables so this is fyi)
Great people to deal with, our insurance needs have been covered with Montero's for many many years now.
