It's a scam. Just buy the lobsters directly from a reputable supplier, and save a lot of money. We were given a gift of a 10 day \lease\ on a lobster trap with a promise that the average catch of several lobster traps would be shipped to us. The minimum guarantee was 7.5 pounds, possibly much more. We were told we would get a daily progress report on the trap lease once we told them to start fishing. We later found that the cost of this gift was over 220, or about 50% over the going rate for 7.5 lbs of Maine lobster shipped to the west coast, but presumably we might do considerably better. Especially since this was a bumper year for lobster catch. After watching the catch statistics, we told them to set the trap, and awaited our daily reports. We were then quite surprised to be notified immediately that our 6 lobsters were being shipped. We protested that this was not the terms of the \lease\, but were told by a rather rude \support department\ person that \they couldn't afford to send more than 6 as it was costing 184 to ship them\. The lobsters arrived, and were good quality, but they came from a supplier in Maine (not Massachusetts). Sure enough, a check of the supplier's website showed that we could have gotten the same 6 lobster for 149, including shipping. It's a plain and simple ripoff. There was no \lease\, much less an upside on catch, and we ended up paying 35-40 for each lobster which we could have had shipped ourselves for 25 or less each.
