I am disgusted with how my father was treated by the owners. Somebody should have a good look at what goes on in this place.

The Staff team and Management are amazing. Before I had chose Villa Nova I had visited many other places but none compared to Villa znova my first visit here sealed the deal El Dora and Pedro are very hands on with big compassionate hearts the Chefs are top notch and the nursing team are incredible and caring have now been a resident here now for 2 months and I love it here. We are one big happy family there is lots to do and the staff are more than willing to help us out. My name is Evan LeBlanc and I am proud to say that I belong here and I am a resident here. A beautiful and a very caring and safe healthy environment Those who gave negative reviews are totally wrong and had some kind of axe to grind come here see for your self I am sure you will see how wonderful it is if you want a residents point of view ask for me Evan
My friend has been living there for 4 years and it is the perfect place for him. The meals are good and the staff is friendly. It is a retirement home for people who are semi independent. It is not for anyone with a severe dementia. If you need a little help with taking a shower then the LHIN will send in help. If you have difficulty with shopping and cooking the staff will do that as well as clean your room weekly. They also distribute your medication if you need this service. It is not a nursing home. Some people are able to keep a small dog with them. The staff is very respectful of the individual's independence. Great place for those needing some help .
If considering Vila Nova for a loved one with Alzheimer's or Dementia, make sure that you are asking the right questions and investigating thoroughly before making a decision. This retirement home does not have the resources or Alzheimer's Memory Care as noted on several websites including a Place for Mom. There is a lack of communication between staff and management which makes it difficult for residents and family members. Management will tell you what you want to hear when seeking a place but things change quickly once you are there. Also, make sure that there is a proper cognitive assessment done on your loved one so that they are aware of what is required to properly care for the person. Management has trouble being collaborative with other Health Services that come into the home, a lot of conflict which also makes it difficult to provide the care that your loved one requires. It is important that you have everything in writing as stories seem to change consistently. There is also a lack of confidentiality between management, staff and residents. I will say that the staff is lovely, friendly and always willing to help. There just isn't enough of them to properly care for different needs as noted.
I don't know what these people are talking about but, just to let them know they can be prosecuted for false accusations! The place is nice and the staff is very friendly. My mother is living there for years and I have no complains ! Rude people!
