This organization is nothing short of amazing and joining as a volunteer was the best decision. Not only do they provide emotional support for those in need, they are also providing the knowledge for children and adults to properly care for dogs. With very precise and honest evaluations, the canines chosen for therapy work and their owners are given the privilege to attend nursing homes, hospitals and schools. The staff is always so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Canine Assisted Therapy continues to provide me with the experience of bringing joy to so many people with the help of my furry friend. This organization brings smiles to thousands of faces by creating bonds between human and canine.

As a board member of Canine Assisted Therapy, I am so proud to be involved with such amazing and dedicated group of people who have made Canine Assisted Therapy Inc. the top Pet Therapy organization in South Florida. Canine Assisted Therapy teams are evaluated, trained, and have continued education and guidance. Our teams are placed in already C.A.T. vetted facilities and are accompanied on first few visits. This is vital because most organizations certify the teams then they are left to their own devices. Volunteering with C.A.T. is a rewarding and humbling experience. It is a reminder of just how fortunate we are to bring a smile to a child’s lips or comfort an adult who may be having a stressful day. All this takes place just by being there with our C.A.T. Dogs!

I had the opportunity to meet with Debra Berger and her staff and was very impressed by their overall organization and by their standards and process to effectively select, train and place their volunteer Pet Therapy Teams. It was clear from their passionate presentation and from the other comments and information on line, that they truly provide levels of service that facilities could use as a standard when deciding to establish a relationship with any organization offering Pet Therapy Services. As a pet owner who understands the power of a loving relationship with his dog, it was exciting to learn about the positive impact that Canine Assisted Therapy is having in our community.
