Went to Sundarbans for the first time. This travel agency run by Mr. Suraj Das did not disappoint. He greeted us at Sonakhali. The boat was quite beautiful, organized and clean. We booked the entire trip for Rs.40000 including boat, tour, accomodation at Royal Bengal Resort and meals. Manager Samaresh treated us like royalty. Cooks prepared delicious meals and snacks. Food included chicken, crab, prawn, bhetki, fruits. Didn't see a tiger though we spotted few deers and crocs from close range and plenty of birds. Great organization, good hospitability, lovely food. Highly recommended.

Rivers and water.. Much water has flown since India started to conserve it. Many species of birds are gone. Hunting process goes silently. Yet, it's pride of Bengal. Mangrove grooming, crocodile and tigers may often your look.. But you can enjoy here..
