Appetizers include wild mushroom polenta, crab cakes, sea scallops, steamed clam, foie gras with black truffles and steamed clams in a garlic, rosemary and white wine sauce. There is a ravioli du jour which changes nightly based on seasonal ingredients or if that doesn't sound good, Newman's lobster ravioli is one of its most popular dishes.

Intimate romantic dinner for our Valentines celebration. Sat upstairs, small area but COVID comfortable. Delicious meal, great service, don’t usually visit when near Cannon Beach because we cook at home but this was worth it for a couple on date night or special occasion. Not sure a big group would have same experience.

We celebrated our engagement by having a wonderful dinner at Newman’s at 988. It was nothing short of wonderful. I think this is the best meal I’ve ever had. The scallops, the shrimp, desert and wine pairings were phenomenal. Dee is an amazing server!

Went out for special dinner during our stay at Cannon Beach, unfortunately our experience was much different than the majority of the reviews. We had the lobster ravioli, and the lobster was over cooked and rubbery as was the shrimp scampi. Was a very disappointing meal!

My husband and I had our wedding dinner reception here. The restaurant was super accommodating to all of our needs and the dinner was delicious! A full 3 course meal with excellent options to choose from. We could not recommend this place enough. Thank you Newmans for a wonderful evening!

The lobster ravioli was a delicious choice. The lobster was wrapped in a very light ravioli, drizzled with a delicious marinara reduction sauce. In my opinion, I would pass on the crab cakes (too small & flavorless for 23).
