Tammy and Horizon Labradors breed the absolute best Labrador Retrievers. Our boy, Angus, is the sweetest, most mild-mannered puppy (except for Zoomies but puppies do Zoomies). He has been fine during thunderstorms, hanging out with us on the porch, fine during fireworks, happy to go camping with us - hung out and didn't bark or freak out at people or other dogs. Just a sweet, happy, healthy, beautiful dog. Thank you!

Ellie is the first pet I have owned as an adult, and the experience of finding a breeder and bringing home a new puppy can be an overwhelming one. However, Horizon Labradors made the experience so much more manageable and sweet. Once I expressed interest and put a down payment I got weekly updates on my puppy. When I did come to pick her up I was given a little goody bag with instructions, her up to date shots, a cd of all the photos taken of her, and a couple of her favorite toys. My dog is absolutely beautiful and has such a sweet temperament (still has plenty of energy though ). I absolutely recommend Horizon Labradors to anyone looking for a new addition to their home.
Before buying our puppy, we did some online research and contacted several breeders by email and phone. When we spoke to Tammy, the owner of Horizon Labradors, we immediately knew our search of a reputable breeder was found. There was a noticeable difference in her professional approach, and sincere love of her dogs. From the moment we placed our deposit, we received a weekly text containing pictures and video. As the puppy pickup date approached, we received email reminders to prepare in bringing our puppy home. The entire experience was awesome. When we picked up our chocolate male puppy, Tammy reviewed important items regarding feeding, care, a document for our vet, the microchip, the guarantee, and AKC registration. Tammy also sent us home with a small tag blanket and toy he played with to ease the transition into our home. Had never owned a lab always had small dogs growing up. Being 2000 miles away I was just a little afraid of what I was gonna get. But after speaking with Tammy I knew I found the right breeder. I have never had such a wonderful relationship with a breeder I told her what I wanted and she hand picked my puppy. Picking him up at the airport I couldn't have been more pleased when \Boss\ now Rebel came out. 8 years later our big red baby is still as sweet as he was still like a big puppy I know who I'm calling when I'm ready for another baby. He really is everything she said he was just a really good dog.
We bought Coach, our Choc Lab from Tammy at Horizon in 2010 and we will only have labs from Horizon from here on out. He is tall and lean with a great temperament, truly the best looking lab and companion dog ever. When Coach was 2 we had our first of 4 children and he has always been great with the kids. Health-wise, we have never had any major issues (thankfully), with some minor skin allergies being the extent. The other common lab issue is getting heavy with age, and Coach’s weight has never fluctuated. I attribute this to the bloodlines and genes because having 4 kids under 7, we are not the most disciplined dog owners. We now live in OH, and when the day comes for another pup, we will be making the trip to GA.
