Only living 15 miles from Canterbury we usually just visit the city for shopping. This time however, we took a sunny afternoon to just walk alongside the river and to view the city as a ‘tourist’ rather than a local. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch and drinks at The Pound and were met with very friendly and efficient staff throughout. We will definitely be returning and as a result shopping will now be fun! You should certainly visit The Pound, you won’t be disappointed.

Perfect place for a delightful Sunday roast and a drink. Visited for lunch while we were in the vicinity and it was an overall good experience. The staff were fantastic and the food wasn't that bad. The roast was accompanied by a range of sides and was priced very reasonably. Not to mention, a meal here gets you free entry to the westgate so there's a real plus for visiting this restaurant.
Food and menu ok. Good place to sit and order cocktails. Good service.
Very interesting place! A bar/cafe in an old prison house. You can actually enjoy a drink in pine of the cells. The common area is lovely too.
By far, the best Sunday Roast I ever had!!
