I frequently refer patients to this facility. The interaction with patients with the patients with memory loss is amazing. The patients are always clean and well taken care of. I also find the staff friendly and caring. This is a great place to place your loved one.

There are a few memory care options available to choose from in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area. The staff at Canyon Valley are very flexible and are there because they truly love their jobs. They aren't there just for the paycheck which is noticeable and greatly appreciated.

We placed a 1500.00 deposit with Canon Valley in order to secure a spot and have someone go out to the rehab facility and interview my father. The visit was arranged for the next day and took place as scheduled. The third day, we were informed that my father was not accepted. We were told a refund of the deposit would be mailed. It's been three weeks...we have yet to see our deposit money. Had they simply held the check until a decision was made, or refunded the money in a timely manner--say....one week, I'd have rated this 5 stars. While it was not a good fit for my father, Canyon Valley is clean, beautiful and the people were very nice.

As a licensed fiduciary, whose practice is limited to serving the elderly and their families, I totally endorse Canyon Valley for patients in the beginning to middle stages of dementia. In my 13 years of practice, I have evaluated well over a hundred care facilities, and my 91 -year ,who has lived there for 7 months, is doing great. In many assisted living facilities, there are no activities, or once weekly at most and that usually consists of bingo. The elderly are left to watching TV or going out into a patio, while Canyon Valley offers a full daily schedule of crafts, \sing alongs\, dog therapy, to name of a few plus frequent outings in their bus. They also take residents to all doctor appointments. Additionally, they have a full-time RN, who is also on call when needed. An outstanding geriatric doctor visits Canyon Valley residents on a regular basis. This facility also offers services to the very poor, which is rare is such a luxurious setting. Lastly, they have a fantastic chef who tries his utmost to meet the challenges of finicky eaters, while serving daily attractive, nutritious meals. It is difficult at best to run a facility 24/7 and doing it with the grace and caring shown by the management and staff of Canyon Valley. For this I applaud them.
