Wonderful earthy tones, hanging plants, organic look and feel. Warm lighting, friendly staff, tasty food. We had the seafood platter for two- highly recommended. I would just suggest chef clean the prawns properly-if you leave the waste excrete string in, it could make people sick. Also if it could be served with slices of lemon for the fish and calamari it would be perfect

I mistakenly made a reservation at Cause Effect as part of the wikideal voucher we had purchased. We ended up staying for drinks as we had to make a reservation elsewhere for the food section of our deal but after we left Cause Effect, I realised that mistaken reservation wasn't a mistake at all . As someone who regularly tries cocktails at any restaurant, pub or establishment I go to, Cause Effect has the best cocktails BY FAR. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so relaxing, the staff is incredible and the cocktails are crafted with such thought and innovation. And as the cherry on top of an already perfected cake, it tastes absolutely amazing too I've already recommended the restaurant to friends and family and I definitely look forward to returning in the next couple of weeks.

It was very good for us. Happened upon Cause and Effect by chance. Original cocktail mixes served with a South African twist and a ritual. Our waiter, CJ, presented the cocktails with an uncanny and original performance that demands witness in its own right. The grilled fish with fresh salad combo was good too.

Great experience! Interesting cocktails, in particular the herb and spice infused concoctions. Unfortunately on our last visit we found ourselves questioning the alcohol content of the cocktails. Although very difficult to prove we left with the distinct impression that the alcohol was watered down. Interestingly enough we experienced the very same phenomenon at a nearby restaurant later that same evening. Sign of the times?
