Absolutely breath taking views, pristine coastline and plenty of space for your recreational needs. The rip tide is dangerous so only swim between the designated areas. There is plenty of natural shady areas to choose from and many nooks and cranny along the resort. Toilets leave much to be desired but it is a day time break away area. If you want something different then you won’t be disappointed.

Absolute gem! They just need an upgrade on the showers, but you cannot beat the views and the experience. Best camping spot by far. I miss the sound of the waves and waking up to the beach right at my tent door.

Love this camp site! One of the best camp sites still around in CPT. Proper old school camping like back in the day our parents went camping in the 1900s. One of the best sunsets you will ever get and the water is amazing!

This is a camping resort but day visitors are allowed. The place is well maintained and clean. The sea has strong rip currents so it’s very dangerous to swim in the ocean.

Ignore every travel blog you've read about Kogel Bay online. The beach is mildly uncomfortable with a lot of public drinking. I could understand the appeal to locals as a favourite hangout spot, however the environment did not seem tourist friendly

If you're up for a real rough it up camp, cold water, no electricity, right by the ocean kinda vibe then this is definitely the place to be. Love it! Only issue was the wind and baboons which isn't really the camp's fault. The toilets could be cleaner but certainly a good choice.
