Really bad customer service. I waited hours, and the information wasn’t clearly given on how many Kilometers i could drive. (100km per day is nothing) I was charged a lot extra, and no one told me that it’s only 100km. The environment in the rental office is really unprofessional and slow. The prices are also not the best in capetown. Can not recommend this at all. Very troubling, and frustrating The customer service couldn’t help. I just wasn’t informed in the branch when I rented the car it was only 100km. Just bad service. No refund possible they said on the customer service, blaming me for not reading the contract properly. I think I should have been informed and not be blamed for not reading all the pages of the contract. Just very bad service at the branch.

Waiting for more than 6 months for my refund. Be warned, they are out to rob people. I don’t know where their positive reviews are coming from but everyone I’ve spoken to has had a bad experience with them.

This the second time that the same branch and same employee "branch manager" has screwed me. I booked a car via telephone. When I got to the branch the lady wanted to give me a cheaper car at the same rate as the car that I had booked. After telling her that I specifically booked a Nisan Micra, she tried to spin the issue by saying I called late. Which is absolute NONSENSE as they could have told me over the same phone that they don't have the vehicle that I needed. These people wasted my time for no reason. Chance takers.

We rented a car in December 2019 with Thrifty and had the worst experience. We wanted to extend the rental and the lady from customer service told us many wrong things which I only found out once I called the actual Thrifty store. If I hadn't done this we would've probably been charged a penalty as they system did not record the extension of the rental. Furthermore, upon returning the car, we noticed we got charged the deposit twice! It took several months for us to receive this money back. Then Thrifty charged us for changing tires: Here they not only charged us for a front tire but also for a spare tire which WE NEVER TOUCHED! Thrifty has bad customer service AND they deceive you. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This is officially the second time I’ve had a bad enough experience with thrifty to actually write a complaint. I was involved in an accident where a thrifty employee was driving one of their rental cars. He drove into the back of my car. When we got to the office to sort put all the admin the person in charge (Tasneen) made it very clear that thrifty will take no responsibility for their employee driving the car or the damage to mine. while complaining that we were interrupting her meeting, She also did not care at all that the employee was driving without a license. Please just do not hire a car from this place, they do not care about customer service. It really

I have no issues with the service I received, however, I received a 700 Rand charge to my credit card over 3 months after I hired the car with absolutely no correspondence as to why. I emailed them and have yet to receive a reply some 2 months later. Luckily I have claimed the money back through my credit card company. I would advise not to use this company.

When I returned the car at cape town airport there was no issue, later when i reached back dubai they claimed n number of issues and deducted all my security amount. they also deducted the amount from my brother’s credit card as well. On taking so many follow ups since last 3 months, TASNEEM from greent point branch is not able to address my problem. I keep writing mails to her and customer care as well but they dont give a damn to it. I have to make international calls and the only response i get is that we will get back to you. Pathetic service.
