Terrible cruise. There is absolutely nothing to see. They pretend you are going to see the old town and the castle but you can barely see the top. Definitely not worth 8.50!

Interesting if you are wanting to see how locks worth. Otherwise a waste of time. Never saw the old city or had it pointed out. Guide is very good. False advertising.
Never take this so caĺled cruise... unless you like s&m. Take a cruise in carcassonne and only being able to see the old city from 1 specific spot from like 10 km distance.. for the rest see nothing..
Took the City cruise, 1hr 30 minutes. Not a huge amount to see, one view of the Cité but you can see it better from the motorway to Narbonne. Staff were pleasant and the commentary was in French, English and Spanish. A nice enough way to pass the afternoon.
Had a 90 min trip this morning for 8.50. Down the canal de midi through 2 locks and then turned around and back the same way. Quite scenic and decent guide speaking 3 languages but not riveting. Oh and take a cushion cos seats pretty uncomfortable.
Lovely cruise, staff is great, gave us a lot of information about the Canal du Midi.
Too short a trip I expected to see more.
Canal tour in an open boat. Friendly multi langual guide explaining the canal du midi's history on a 2hr trip. We went up and down one slot and had a 20min. break for a coffee on a charming place aside the canal, with well shaded terrace. The kids appreciated taking the morning tour at 10am as the shade over the canal provided by the plane trees and a fresh breeze was a welcome treat at these hot summer days.
