I came here a couple of months ago with 3 others, we were greeted by a woman on the door who seemed lovely and took us to our tables, after 40 minutes of being sat there we realised no one had been over to take a drink order so we politely asked a waiter if we could order some drinks and he said he would come back in a minute, after waiting another 10 minutes, my friend went and spoke to the woman on the door (that turned out to be the owner) who turned around and said 'if you don't like it then leave' we were absolutely gobsmacked, especially as I've worked in hospitality myself and know I would never speak to a customer like that. We were quite merry at this point so we decided to laugh it off and stay and enjoy our night. We were seated at 6.30pm and got our starter at least an hour after, followed by our mains at around 8.30pm, so 2 hours after being seated! My partner and I ordered a chicken dish, it was cold and nothing exciting, but because we were absolutely starving and wanted to enjoy our night, we didn't say anything and left after finishing. We are very understanding people and we can see how stressful it can be during these times but please do not take it out on your customers, unfortunately I will not be returning due to this experience and I hope management learns a lesson from this review.

Demiros is an excellent restaurant located in Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff which resolves around an executive suite of dining areas inspired by the theatre specialising in Italian, Welsh and Spanish dishes; all of which are perfected to be high quality and simply delicious. The staff members and owners cannot do enough for you, they'll ensure that everything with your meal is no less than perfect and are frequently friendly, helpful and chatty - they are always happy to cater to whatever need arises; there is paid parking opposite Mermaid Quay a few minutes walk away, the portions are very good and the overall restaurant experience is excellent. Demiros is definitely recommended to visit, it's one of the best restaurants in Cardiff Bay.
Called in this morning for some breakfast with the family, we did not book, unfortunately they were originally only doing lunches at the time. However the owner called us in regardless and sat the 3 of us in the perfect window seat, overlooking The Millennium Center. Without hesitation she asked the chef to cook us 3 Welsh breakfasts. Honestly the staff could not be friendlier, making us feel really welcome, the Christmas songs in the background making the whole atmosphere really festive. 2 of us had tea to drink, they weren't treated to just a cup, but a huge pot each enough for 3 cups! Also there was enough toast for a much bigger party. The breakfast itself was truly substantial, more than enough to make us full all day. Next time we are down the Bay, we will certainly call again, really enjoyed the whole experience!
Sat outside in their little cubicles with the little blankets that they provide, over our laps. Patio heaters help keep you warm too. Lovely mince pies and hot chocolate went down a treat.
First time visiting this place today. Location is perfect, food was great and the prices were good. However the service from the waiters was very poor, upon arrival they couldnt find my reservation, they struggled to sit us down in an almost empty restaurant and service in general was very slow and miserable. Working in such a nice location you would think they might crack a smile once in a while. Its a shame about the service as everything else was perfect.
