One of the few tumuli in the region which is still freely accessible and in a fairly original state. For those reasons, definitely worth visiting. Don't expect something spectacular, but this is still the real thing

Good walk to get there. If you are interested in the history of Carnac, it is worth a visit.

1 Euro to visit...pay in an honesty box. Info available in many languages on prepared cards. Worth it for the historical interest. Hard to resist the delicious smells from the Indian restaurant at the entrance. Wish we hadn’t already had lunch...

Atmospheric burial mound with chambered tomb, surrounded by a nice mixed woodland. Arrived by foot from Carnac at 8am ish, had the place to myself, which makes all the difference when trying to absorb the feel of a place like this. I wonder who it was that was thought of so highly? Some handsome spiders are the watchmen now.

Great little burial mound, set in woodland and accessed from a car park next to an Indian Restaurant. Entrance fee is done via an honesty box then it's a short signposted stroll to the mound itself. I think we spent about 45 minutes here which was stretching it out a bit. You can walk into the burial mound through an open door but it does mean bending over (and I'm not to tall) once inside there are some interesting markings on the wall but take a torch or mobile phone torch because it's dark. There are some explanatory boards re: it's history and discovery etc. All in all an entertaining hour or so

Very interesting to be able to enter into a tumulous, there is no longer a working light so you will need a torch to be able to appreciate the size of the stone slabs used in the construction. This is worth a visit if you are interested in prehistoric monuments.

Carnac is a hidden historical place. You need someone local to show you this place inside the stone and to tell you the story behind.
