Lovely place, great swimming lessons, looking forward to seeing it rebuilt!

This review relates to the pool. Positives are you can get a long swim in late at night (occasionally when no clubs or staff training) and it is relatively clear. Unlike other reviewers I have never found staff rude in 25 years. A couple of the younger ones may be distracted or bored but I was probably the same in my first jobs! Negatives 1. Maintenance (doors hanging off or missing from changing cubicles (mixed changing) and lockers. Also cleanliness. 2. No policing of fast lane to keep slow swimmers - especially breaststroke- out of the way. People standing chatting at the shallow end of the fast lane when you are trying to turn and push off. 3. Staff training seems to take up a lot more space and go on for a long time at the expense of customer swimming.

The pools themselves are quite nice, the water was also warm enough and my kids love them. The problem is, as everybody has pointed out is their schedule. The timetable on their website is unreliable, it is either the web page always crash, or the time is wrong. Their website shows the opening time for New Year Eve was normal but were told they were closing at 3pm when I reached there. If they can't bothered to maintain their webpage properly, then please put up a simple static webpage showing the schedule for that entire term.

This leisure centre isn't just temporarily closed, it's been demolished! Its replacement isn't due to open until 2022.

Told over the phone that we can bring the kids to swim here today followed by a journey on a hot train in 30 degree heat only to be told no we can't take them in the kids only pool because at 2-3 it's old people only and that no kids can play in the kids only pool because the old people don't like it! Awful service, everyone we've come here the service has never bettered. How totally and stupidly unreasonable can a place get when it comes to kids swimming, especially in the summer holidays?!

Opening times on website are never correct. They are often closing due to lifeguard shortages. Always have swimming lessons on which closes a whole pool and the teachers are rude to public. Pool is pretty cold too. It’s nice for toddlers but any older then you are best going to other pools nearby.

Advertised times for swimming times (specific to the date and time) are often incorrect/not updated when pools are closed due to lifeguard shortages (please update, it's not hard and is false advertising!). So you'll find out when you arrive and will be charged full price for less pools. Seems to be no enforcement of the 'no outdoor' shoe policy... or respect for it either sadly. Places for People unfortunately seems to be another one of these 'companies' (if they didnt rely on government contracts, I doubt they'd survive) that's persuaded the council to give them the contract to manage the leisure centre worse than the council could ever have... it's very sad to see this in the UK now. Who knows what's going on with the council car park.... they seem to have changed twice recently from what originally appeared to be a good system. Now it appears you might have to park your car (on the 5th floor with a child, with an often broken lift... totally makes sense lol), go down, out the car park, into the leisure centre, pay to swim, go through to put in your reg, go back up to your car (child in tow) to display the ticket and back down to leisure centre to use what is remaining of your 2 hours in the pool. Think I'll be giving it a miss from now on.

100% the best indoor swimming pool near our home in Crowthorne but elsewhere I have definitely seen and swan in better! The pool is a nice and refreshing temperature and even in the freezing cold you don't gasp for breath when u first jump in! Staff are smiley which is always a positive but showers and overall cleanliness of the pool and surroundings could do with a make over. The flume is always broken as well so that needs fixing big time.
