Great site, well managed and spotless as usual. Just the tonic after lockdown. Spent three days in bright but chilly weather, the highlight being an 8 mile walk around beautiful Carsington Water with a lunchtime stop at the Miners Arms in Carsington. Lovely.

Brilliant campsite well situated to explore the area. Great for walking access to Carsington Water reservoir and visitors centre where there is an outdoor clothing shop and café and water sports club. If you like your cycling off the busy roads then there are some great trails. We went to the High peak trail and Monsal Trail bike rides. Both fantastic. Monsal trail is particularly good with it's high bridges giving great views and long tunnels to ride through.
Love it here! We booked for 4 nights but extended for another one as we didn't want to leave. Facilities are spot on! Clean, tidy, good size, everything you want. Great for dogs as it has a wonderful dog walking route around the site and it's only a short walk to the lake where you can get another lovely walk or bike ride. Will be back for sure as it's a great base for walking in the local area.
One of the best sites in the network! Superb facilities, best showers around (due to good water pressure, some are pathetic). Wonderful walks around the reservoir and the walk oynd the internal perimeter is over a mile. Friendly staff, well laid out pitches.
Large site with large pitches, although you need to make sure you have levelling ramps as many are not level. Brilliantly situated for walking \u200d️ and cycling the circuit around the reservoir and alsoclose enough to travel to days out at Chatsworth House, Monsal Trail and other local attractions such as Heights of Abraham (roads ok for Motorhome). Bus also picks up outside the site to go to Ashbourne or Matlock and if you like riding a good distance you can ride to the Tissington trail (8 miles from the site) for a circular route back to Carsington water. Only loses 1 star from me as, for me, woodland sites don't work in the UK. Don't miss going into Tissington, stunning village and do visit the sweet shop up the road from the Hall - excellent ice cream (my wife tells me, off the menu for me).
A well kept site with a smashing walk around the camp which was a good length. The kids liked scooting down the ramp in the centre road. I would advise that you use your own toilet/washing facilities as the camp ones were few due to COVID-19. Carsington Water is just round the corner linked by a walkway although we used the grassed area next to the road due to social distancing. A very nice site.

Lovely caravan park surrounded by woodland with views overlooking the lovely Carsington Water. Nice and tidy, clean site. Will be back
