Amazing priory rich in history. If you’re visiting this part of the Lakes on a rainy day then Cartmel is a great place to come. We went to the Yew Tree Barn and then to Cartmel. The priory was open even in COVID days which was a wonderful sanctuary. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Amazing medieval graffiti on the pews, loads of ancient grave stones, architecture and stain glass.

Everyone in the world should visit set in cartmel town Grange over sands 2 miles away from coast nice place my son was christened there if you would like to get married here phone to see how long the list is also lots of hotels for wedding rooms in Grange over sands

Discovered this beautiful church while doing one of our Treasure Trails in Cartmel. Huge place with amazing history and old graveyard- see how far back you can see the gravestones. Didn't go in as we were rather muddy but could hear the organist inside which was lovely.

A large church, founded around 1190 as the church of an Augustinian religious community. Beautifully maintained and with a definite sense of a church that is the centre of a worshiping community. Book/gift stall with friendly, informative volunteers.

Lovely to visit for an hour or so. Were getting it ready for Christmas so had a lively atmosphere.
