Portfolio companies include Kenya's retail tech platform Sokowtach, Morocco's B2B trade platform for Africa WaystoCap, Africa's corporate data company Asoko Insight, Egyptian retail and distribution platform MaxAB, and last-mile B2B logistics company TousFacteurs (diaspora). The fund was initiated by African entrepreneurs for African entrepreneurs, and backed by world-class investors and successful entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley and Africa, including Michael Seibel of YCombinator, 500 Startups, as well as former CEOs and C-level executive of large companies in Africa and the diaspora.
