Authentic italian restaurant. It takes a while to get a table and order, but when the food arrives... oh boy, that’s a treat! Big servings, great, authentic food. If you were not born in Italy, take the menu for two - it’s plenty of food, you will be full. The tomato sauce is the best one I ever had! The Italians tend to be loud, take it as an experience. :)

The food is really tasty and there is more than plenty of it. It is in a really enjoyable way quite a local experience with everything nicely taking its time, possibility to sit outside close to parked cars, super busy waitress and surrounded by Italians with their children dancing around. It’s worth mentioning that in the end the price of our dinner was so affordable that I felt like we were stealing the food. Definitely worth the walk from the main strip! Favorite place in town.
Best restaurant I ate in Sicily. I Will always remember and recommend. If you like Sicilian flavours you will be delighted with this place. They serve very fresh pasta, meat and vegetables. Big portions and accessible prices. The staff were very friendly and welcomed all guests with bruscheta and ended with a good limoncielo and fresh local fruits.
mixed feelings about this place but I do not really recommend it. The prices were good and it is the biggest pro. The food quality was so so. Very salty, both appetizers and pasta norma. I felt appetizers portion was quite poor, not varied. Nice accent with bruschetta as starter and limoncello in the end.
Out of 5 evenings spent in Castellamare, 4 of those were in La Buona Forchetta. It’s not a fancy place by any means, it might not have a breathtaking sea view or unbelievable interior... But the food is great and the thoughtful touches of the staff leave you with the best impression. The prices are so low, that we can actually compare them with our local ones (and I live in Eastern Europe, lol). I mean, imagine tasty beef for 7 euros. Where in Europe you’ve seen such prices? Couldn’t recommend it enough. One of the reasons we were sad of leaving Castellamare - is that we won’t be able do dine in La Buona anymore.
