For everyone wondering, don't go there without calling them first: it's not a shop or kite school in a physical matter. It's a kite spot where this school goes to teach kite surfing, so if there's no wind, it is highly probable that there won't be no one there. They don't have a constant place where they teach, they move around looking for the best conditions for learning to kitesurf. This is probably their more recurrent spot, that's why it's located here. Make sure to call first or you might get there and only find sand, water and no wind. They should clarify this on their Google maps description.

Kite surfing is a sport that involves some risks, worst case scenario is you die. I am very experienced with sports and activities that can kill you. My interaction with Marc and Global Kite rose a few red flags. This guy operates from a mobile phone, he has no shop, nor pinnable address, his company is an \Association\ that has not even a webpage and you become a \member\. I believe this is done to avoid liability both civil and commercial, and who knows tax-wise. I also believe Marc acts as an intermediary, he appears to subcontract the job of teaching to several freelancers. I contacted them for a 10 hrs course that was on special. Marc was affable but gave contradictory information/did not stick to his word. When queried further he suggested ot to do the course\, twice. On his second go at coercion I took his cue, he then emailed me saying that \I was missing out on a good day to start learning\. Marc sales pitch is rife with strong arm tactics more suited to a used car salesman, there was a lot of pressure for me to pay for the 10 hours and start the course immediately even if it wasn't clear what I was going to get and to whom I was paying 260. There was also the issue of a discounted price, I was told it was ok to book the next day but then the next day the deal was over and Marc was cutting me a deal as a favor but I had to act quickly. Textbook stuff. All in all my best advise is to never trust your life to someone who operates from a mobile phone, does not give you straight answers, does not have a clearly constituted company, pressures you into buying because of special deals for you and you only, and when you ask a few more questions threatens to withdraw to make you feel that you will be missing out on a great deal if you don't just shut up and cough up the dosh.

I can not recommend Globalkite. We bougt Kite lessons but got presentation only. When it was time to practice with Kite, the guy always said to us o good wind today\ even there was other kitesurfers around on watter. This was going for months so and then he doesn't respond anymore. Also he had old equipment.

Global Kites does not have a shop/store in Barcelona. The location indicated on Google maps is not even on the correct street. Global Kites - sort this out!
