Although there are no trees on the course, there are the typical links hazards of tall bunkers, water, and waste areas. True to the tradition, the course demands excellent shot placement on almost every hole. And yes, like all links courses, occasionally one must factor in the wind. Today Veterans Day, I went to castle bay golf course I had no knowledge that it was free today for veterans, I just wanted to golf. When I arrived expecting to pay, I asked did they have military discount and the gentleman said it is free today for veterans. That was a VERY nice surprise. The Course was great, the pro shop was very pleasant. The carts were sanitized. I will come again and bring my friends. Thanks castle bay for making my veterans day better.

Greens are brand new as of last summer. They still need to grow in a little more. Otherwise, great course. Reminiscent of a St. Andrew's type. Not a lot of trees, but plenty of high grass and hazards. Good balance of challenging holes and easy holes. Staff is FANTASTIC! Nice driving range, big putting green. A sand trap to work on bunker shots and an area to practice wedge shots from 100yrds and in. For the money, this place is well worth it!

Very nice golf course. It is based on Scottish courses. Rolling hills, lots water, bunkers and sand. Did I mention the sand ! Greens are nice and roll true. It is a course that compels you to think before you pull out the driver. Staff was very accommodating. Will return to play again.

Friendly staff, great service. The course is in excellent condition. The greens are coming along nicely. I believe they are new. The fairways are in great shape. Once the greens have a little more growth this is going to be a 5 star course. Lots of fun , there aren't any trees but lots of sand and some water. Good course and nice challenge for the ladies. Had loads of fun. Definetly on my list to play again.
