One of the best mountain bike paths in the eastern North Carolina area. I live in Jacksonville and make the one hour drive to go there. What makes the trail one of the best? -it’s well maintained -there aren’t to many tree roots -there are some decent climbs, descents -it’s a very family friendly place -it can get crowded but everyone is very courteous when on the trail -it’s very scenic and a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle I highly recommend this trail and will be back!

This place was awesome. They have some spots that will def test you if you are a beginner.

Coming from the Raleigh area, I was worried these trails would disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised! There's more elevation change here than expected and the trail builders have done a great job of taking advantage of what vertical curves they can. But they've also maximized the fun from horizontal curves. The trails curve and twist nonstop. Lots of fun and as much of a workout as I wanted to get by pushing my pace. The builders have obviously put a lot of work into these trails and continue to do so - I saw the mini-trackhoe parked in the woods. The Beginner route is about 1.8 miles as marked with green blazes, but there are a number of connectors you can use to shorten that if you want. The blue-blazed Intermediate route uses parts of the Beginner route but then goes on further. The advanced route across the paved road is marked with black arrow signs and offers the most elevation changes. Out of 9 miles of riding, there were only three or four intersections that confused me for a moment. I'll definitely be back!
