Super clean facility with well enforced Covid rules. Super breakfast: cereal, toast, waffles, bagels, yogurt and fruit!! Super pool for the kids and hot tub for adults. Black Rooster restaurant is very kid friendly, food is good and staff awesome. Exceptional staff: friendly and helpful. The morning we left the receptionist came in to the breakfast room and helped us make up a bag of snacks for our long journey!! Above and beyond. Not sure why this hotel is only a 2 star

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Had a bit of an issue with check in on Thursday, May 25th - the check in lady seemed more interested in taking smoke breaks than checking in guests. Stayed there last year and the staff the following morning staff were fantastic
Best place to stay in Castlegar. I’ve found the service much better than the other ones. Room is clean, wifi is quick and having a little kitchen in my room is great. The only suggestion I would have it to supply more cutlery, they only give two of each which isn’t enough in my opinion. Although I’ve never used the pool as I’m normally here on work trips, it’s a nice addition for families. No complaints with the tv, it’s nice that they have a HDMI running into the Shaw box as I am able to plug it into my computer and watch my own movie. Also very pleased to see USB charging ports on both bed side tables. Overall, great place to stay when your in town
All the front desk staff were very accommodating and kind. Pool and hot tub area was extremely tidy and clean. Waterslide was a blast! Breakfast was filling, and very delicious! Loved the waffles! Room was very clean and very comfortable. A/C units are an absolute beast, you can warm up or cool down within a matter of seconds!! All in, would absolutely stay here again without hesitation! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Super 8 by Wyndham Castlegar BC. Clean, nice size room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff, free Wifi, Continental breakfast (Waffles, toast, orange juice and coffee). JACKPOT! We were very happy with our stay. Recommended!
All of the staff that I encountered were very out going and professional, and at the same time empathetic. I enjoyed my stay immensely..
Staff were friendly kind and made us feel right at home and welcome! Even cut us a break on room prices as we were staying due to power outages. Pool is a blast! Definitely the best and only place to stay in castlegar!
Pool was closed, no mention of it online or when I called, room heater thermostat didn't work, I had a choice of really hot or no heat at all, your teenage child will be treated like he's 2 and be told he's not allowed to get his own breakfast because of their nonsensical Covid policies, keep in mind they have no social distancing or mask requirements and other small children were allowed to sit right beside the food on the floor because "they are seated". Overall just really poor and unfriendly customer service in older run down Hotel (online pics are way too friendly in regards to the current condition of the hotel!)
