Historic and informative but sadly needs better upkeep. Maybe lack of government funding.

A cemetery for the dead japanese in the Pacific for world war 2.a copy of japanese kamikaze or boat kamikazes notes or flag is also shown here
Japanese Memorial Garden is so serene. Japanese pays tribute to their fallen heroes while we Filipinos consider them as invaders. A conflict in history but our two countries are friends today.

Its was the only Japanese cemetery for the whole Pacific as the Japanese tend to burn their dead. Re-discovered in 1982 and the Japanese government dug up the remains and interred it to the Yasukuni Shrine, Japan's cemetery for the war dead.
A very historical place,
Amazing place to see!
Formerly the Japanese cemetery of some 4,500 Japanese Navy men (including Japanese Marines), buried after the Japanese defeat from the American forces during the liberation in 1945. The cemetery was discovered by Roberto Fulcher in 1986 and this led to the construction of the current Japanese Memorial. The memorial contains the Goddess of mercy, anti-aircraft guns, markers for the navy forces and a big stone flower. This Japanese garden requires a boat ride to the island of corregidor.
