tl;dr: Chimney Concepts did an amazing job on our fireplace. Longer version: My partner and I moved to Milwaukee in July for work. We bought a house with more issues than we planned on, one of which was a fireplace with a broken firebox. Despite multiple attempts on her part to find someone to fix it, we met with no success. I finally found Chimney Concepts, and they were fantastic. Scheduled a quick visit for a quote, and quoted what I think was a reasonable price. They worked out a quote to include just the minimum necessary repair to get the fireplace working (firebox and smoke chamber repair) and a separate quote to repair the entire system (masonry around the chimney). Unfortunately we were scheduled for the repair at the beginning of April. We were disappointed because we wanted to use the fireplace during the winter, but understood the delay was unavoidable because of the season. However, their schedule shifted (a cancellation, I believe) and they were able to fit our repair in over a month early. The guy who did our repair, Robert, was fantastic. At multiple points throughout the repair he explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. He seemed to take the time necessary to do the job well. I think the pictures probably speak for themselves (the rear wall is the visible part of the repair). I would easily recommend them to anyone looking for a fireplace repair.

I just wanted to say that Dylan was awesome. Extremely professional and explained everything that was being done in layman's terms. I was shown the completed work and he answered any questions I had. He left the work area cleaner than when he arrived. Excellent job.
So far we've been pleased with the work. The separation of rebuilding the chimney and then replacing the flashing seems a bit awkward as our new chimney is now swathed in plastic until the flashing folks get here. Not very well explained in the original estimate.
We had to get some stuff done before we could move and were in a time crunch. We thought ahead and scheduled an estimate and inspection before hand no problem. From the first moment we had a possible close date, the work was able to get done within time. Everybody feom Miranda, Matt, and the Techs were more than pleasant to deal with. The stress of moving is great, but all involved made everything as smooth as possible.
Dylan did a fantastic job on my fireplace. It looks wonderful! And Dillon was great for the installation of the mantle. The entire project took longer due to unforeseen circumstances with my electricity around the fireplace (understandable) and they did a great job of getting the right people in place to do what needed to get done to take care of it. I was a little disappointed because I felt like I ended up managing the project myself. I had to call every few days to make sure everything kept going and see that it got finished in a timely manner. I assumed they would have taken the lead and given me more guidance (I had to ask to have grout put in the tile after several friends told me that was normal). Overall, they did a very nice job on my fireplace though. The workers were great and the final product came out wonderfully. Very happy with the new fireplace. Thanks for all the hard work.
