Wonderful and enchanted cathedral above the city, the light of the sunset paints it in gold. In the background an imposing mountain highlights its epic presence. You can visit it inside, It is also possible to visit the two main towers, the view from up there is enchanting. Always very crowded in the warm months.
It's worth going up the towers if you get a chance, for a beautiful ocean view and view over Cefalu.
Ladies must cover the shoulders to enter the church, or you could pay 1 euro to buy a simple cover in the gift store.（have to say very hot wearing that ） The church is very beautiful, even I don't know the history, it's still very impressive.
No need to go here if you have been to Monreale. I had the complete tour, where I was rushed from place to place, and never really had time to admire the main part. Before I knew it, I was at the exit without getting to sit under the big mmm mosaic.
