I've hiked up to the top of la Rocca several times and I am always amazed at what an amazing site it is. 220 meters up. The view from there is forever. The castle ruins are fun to walk around on but imagining how they built it mind blowing. It was built around 1200 AD. Depending on ability it can be difficult to climb but definitely doable. Just do it!

Go early, being water, wear sneakers. Not too technical or too difficult. Took about an hour round trip. 4 euros per adult, 1 per child. I think. Tickets got a little confusing. Views were not confusing. Completely worth the effort.

Good healthy short hike after evenings full Italian appetizers and Aperol...40-45 min uphill, 30 min downhill. Spent an hr at the top, enjoyed the vistas. I wanted some more workout, so just a 3. But it certainly is worth it.

Must see when in Cefalu. Did a day trip from Palermo. Went straight to Rocca from train station, relaxed up top for an hour and took in the views. Then proceeded to cefalu beach to take a few iconic photos. Was on my way back to Palermo before sunset.
