Poor, not authentic, fast food slyle. The athmosphere is just nothing special.
Had lunch there one afternoon in September with some American friends. We ate al fresco in a large garden/patio area so didn't see the inside of the restaurant. We all enjoyed our meals and had a very relaxing time. Service not the fastest but who's in a rush when on holiday and enjoying the ambience? It was fairly quiet so we had the opportunity to chat with the owner who was quite affable and accomodating. Prices ok though not cheap. Seems to be in the middle of nowhere, which is part of its charm, but a very pleasant drive to get there - just be sure you don't miss it. Will definitely eat there again.
Avoid this place: face Italy We were invited by friends here for Easter Monday and we had a horrible experience. First of all, although our friend knew the owners, we were treated very badly. The menu was set: appetizer with cold cut, cheese, ricotta, artichoke ratatouille, dried tomatoes and olives two pasta: the first one with giant beans and sausage (this was really bad), the second with wild fennel and ricotta (was slightly better) main dish: different types of meat from the grill and French fries dessert: cannoli (these were really good) coffee, red wine, water and bitter 25 Euro per adult Kids got a simplier menu (no antipasto on our request, pasta with tomato sauce, meat with French fries and ice-cream) for 15 euro. As you see, the appetizer was a super-quick one, still we waited for more than an hour to get it. We were 16 at our table, there were two single tables (2 couples) and a double table (5 people) in the whole restaurant. Although we asked them to serve at least the kids, they served all other tables with the appetizer and the pasta first, and only after about 80 minutes the kids got their pasta and we got our appetizer. We got to the restaurant at noon, but we got the main dish at about 4pm, although we asked them to speed up. At that time we got 9 kids super-bored and annoyed, outside it was windy and raining, they were out of control and we were more than stressed. The cook (a nice middle-age lady) is well able to cook for her family, but she has no idea about how to run a proper restaurant. The two waiters, I guess her sons, were absolutely unable and unwilling to help us. They also made us pay for the whole menu, although we skipped half of it at the end. The food was below average (in Sicily food is excellent), bad service, no understanding or availability to the guests' requests. Will never go back there...
Very Nice Food
When you want some incredible, local food in a relaxing environment, this is the place to go. Their food is always top quality, and we are never disappointed. Because their food is always fresh, their menu may change slightly, but they only serve the best. At the end of your meal, try their limoncello, it's the best I've ever had.
Up the mountain hidden in a forest lies a fantastic terrace where you can dine among the locals. Great fresh pizza! Good experience, a fantastic drive up with spectaculair views of cefalu. a must visit when in the area.
Great food and relaxed place. Super pizza's, pasta's and starters.
