I brought our sick tree frog in and everyone there was wonderful. Very professional, answered all of my questions and explained everything in detail, demonstrated the treatment, and I didn’t have to wait long despite the high number of emergencies that came in at about the same time. Maybe best of all, they promptly answered my questions via text. They take every pet’s situation seriously. It was pricey but I really feel like I got what I paid for.

The last thing anyone wants to do is end up going to the emergency room for their exotic pet, but the people here really do their best to make sure you know that your pet is in the best hands. I'm lucky to have such a caring response team so close by and I'm not sure if my hamster Bunny would have been alive today if it wasn't for Dr. Hyde. Not only did the entire team keep me updated and informed on what was going on with her they also treated Bunny with far more empathy than I had experienced at other veterinarians. They really value every life that comes through these doors as if they were their own pets and I really appreciate the love that they have for their patients. Even her paper bag that her medicine came in was personalized with her name and a sticker! How sweet is that?

I brought my rat in for an emergency visit -- the estimated wait time to get her back was 4-6 hours and they got her back to me in 3. Friendly staff, thorough post-exam instructions, thorough explanation of the possible issues happening with my animal. I didn't feel like her well-being as a small animal with a short life span wasn't as important as some of the other animals that are taken there; I feel confident that she was given the best care in an urgent situation that she could've been given. I will be taking my animals to this facility in the future.

I brought my bunny in for an emergency visit and had a great experience with the team. They were prompt, as responsive as they could be in between multiple other emergencies, and in the end sent my sweetheart home healthier than ever with a detailed follow-up summary of next steps. I have really enjoyed working with them and they have tolerated me in my anxious and frazzled state as a worried pet owner. Would highly recommend!

Hamsters aren’t often considered important or valuable pets. But the staff at the Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine cared for my hamster like they would any other more expensive pet. My hamster Louie was very special to me and I loved him very much. I’d had him for about 2 years - the average lifespan for a hamster - when he took an incredibly abrupt turn. I tried calling emergency veterinary clinics but couldn’t find one that took hamsters. Finally, someone pointed me to this clinic. When I called they said they’d fit him in as soon as I was able to pull into the parking lot. The staff was incredibly professional and did their best to treat Louie and make him comfortable. It was determined that he was most likely in advanced stages of heart failure and may have also had cancer, so we decided to end his suffering. He was brought out to me in a little box that had been decorated with his name, and the staff was kind enough to give me a clay impression of his paw print. Considering this was an emergency case requiring oxygen and medication, the bill was very reasonable. Above all, I was incredibly impressed at the compassion showed to Louie and myself by the staff. I’d never visited them before and they had every indication that I would not be returning to their clinic again to give them business, yet they still went above and beyond to make this process as comforting as possible. I even received a sympathy card from them in the mail afterwards - signed by the team who worked on Louie. This whole process was incredibly touching, and I’m so glad there are vet teams in this world who have the care and empathy that this staff clearly has for even the smallest creatures. I just adopted a new hamster and I know exactly where I will take him if he ever needs care. I’d love to give a massive thank you to all the staff at the Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine for being an incredible care team and amazing people!

We had an emergency late at night and were greeted with open empathetic arms. Our bun required emergency surgery in the wee hours of the night, they took him in right away. Everything was explained in great detail. From a frantic bunny mom, I sincerely appreciate this wonderful office. Bun is now home recovering and resting comfortably. Thank you for saving our bunnies life.

Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. The doctors care so much, and were able to provide excellent care for my very sick rabbit and get him back on his feet. They provided clear explanations of what was wrong, potential care options, and helpfully showed me how to administer his new medication.
