I've been fortunate to have worked 15 seasons here in the past two decades before the Covid-19 pandemic hit. For many reasons it has always been my favorite gig to work as a stagehand. Among the reasons are it gets you out of the heat of the city in the middle of the summer, it's a part of the founding history of my union, and there are wonderful people all through the opera festival community.

This was one of the most amazing places I've ever been and not a bad seat in the house!! The shows this summer were the most incredibly professional shows ever and I highly recommend this Opera House and events to any and all!

This spot clearly knows how to satisfy their customers. Always with a very kind approach. The food is reasonably priced, constantly delicious and clean.

Picked up a late lunch from the restaurant to eat out on the deck which was fabulous. There is no in dining currently. They had the opera society performing in the courtyard with both piano and opera singing. Perfect temps, gorgeous setting. Can't wait to go back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND The antique shop just slightly down and across the street while you're waiting for your food I'm not an antique show aficionado but it it's beautifully organized with such unique items.

I visited Central City as a kid. I didn't go back for the casinos though. The information center and the old court building made the trip worthwhile. I do wish it was more like my memories from my childhood. Still, it is a lovely place.
