With patience and kindness you will go far! While it took me 5 hours to get my passport application through, every staff member was kind and professional. Bring an umbrella/hat or wear long sleeves to avoid sunburn. Also bring a book or phone to keep you busy. I also met and spoke to some interesting people while waiting in line. Good luck and stay safe, wear your mask and keep social distancing.

Appauling public service. We were on the queue since 6am. Only to be told at 9am that the immigration section that assists with the query I came for, were not available.

Absolutely atrocious service, no social distancing, only 3 working desks almost six hours in the line outside and then they cut the line off before I even set foot inside. Insanity.

Please don't take photos outside. They do it inside . And take an ambrella. And go early like be there at 6am.

Absolute mayhem, organised chaos. Long, very long queues. Limited personnel doing a tough job. The government resource machine is extremely inefficient. Parking outside consists of parking on the pavements, TMPD walk around in delight issuing R500 fines - WHY. There is no public parking for miles. You could use Gautrain and pay a premium. The question then remains, the proceeds from all these fines goes where? Walking from parking at the Centurion Mall, the lake and roads are overgrown with weeds and litter, excessively so. Absolute disgrace for the Tshwane Municipality.

Living and working in Centurion many years ago, the department of home affairs were then situated in Kruger Avenue, Lyttleton. Those days it was a joy to go and have one's ID, drivers license etc. sorted. The queue moved quickly and the staff were very efficient and the equipment worked, no delays. Today you are lucky if someone actually answers the phone, which I am yet to experience. No parking available at the new premises and some of the staff very reluctant in assisting or answering simple questions. Had to make two trips for payment as the system was off line which seem to be a constant issue. One can only hope that things will improve in the future .

There is always a very long queue and they seems to go offline frequently. I had to go back two days in a row. The staff are friendly and helpful and try their best with the system they have to work with.

Once you inside it's very efficient the system moves and the people are pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately there is no parking thus you forced to park out on the street where the traffic cops were having a field day issuing tickets. Even if you get there early and almost front of the queue you will find yourself about 30 positions back as they allow people to buy places in front. Was there at 6am 4 hours later I could enter the building.
