Katas,

Katas Raj is located about 20 kms from Kalarkahar. So if you are coming from Lahore you can visit this place. From islamabad it is about two hour's drive from motorway. Katas is basically a temple complex consisting seven ancient temples. All these temples are built around a pond which is of the holiest places for Hindus because they believe that it had been created from the tear drops of Shiva, after the death of his wife Satti. One tear fell here in katas and formed Katas Lake, and the other one in Ajmer formed Pushkar Lake. A very scenic and beautiful place with a green and blue water of lake surrounded by lush green hills.. Tour guide is availabe at unfixed cost. There is no cafe for a cup of tea or snack so you better go with your own food there.. Joggers are recommended. *A very scenic place for photography.

Historical place. Will interest people who enjoy visiting old sites. Tip the administration/ ticket guys at the entrance for a guided tour in which they will also open some locked temples for you to see from the inside. Near Kallar Kahar Lake so a good one day picnic trip can be planned to this area.
One of the oldest temple and castle in Pakistan. This temple holds great deal of thick history of Hindu culture. The temple has one main building of castle, a temple (that is usually locked) and a beautiful lake. According to the history of Hindu religion and culture, this temple holds cultural importance as rally point and safe haven for brothers in Mahabharata. The lake is considered sacred as they believe the lake is formed of tears of Shiva when he cried in the search of Sati. P.S. Whenever you visit, ask the ticket person regarding guide and keys to Hanuman Temple that is always locked.
The temples' pond is said in the Puranas to have been created from the teardrops of Shiva, after he wandered the Earth inconsolable after the death of his wife Sati. The pond occupies an area of two kanals and 15 marlas, with a maximum depth of 20 feet. The temples play a role in the Hindu epic poem, the Mahābhārata, where the temples are traditionally believed to have been the site where the Pandava brothers spent a significant portion of their exile.[3] It is also traditionally believed by Hindus to be the site where the brothers engaged in a riddle contest with the Yakshas, as described in the Yaksha Prashna.Another tradition states that the Hindu deity Krishna laid the foundation of the temple, and established a hand-made shivling in it. The temples were visited by India's former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani in 2005. In 2006, the Pakistani government began restoration works at the temples, with further improvements announced in 2017.
I am Indian Hindu and I really wanna visit it from the core of my heart. I want peace and love to be spread across the border. It is Temple made from teardrops of Shiva who was angry while roaming with the dead body of The Inacrantion of Universal energy #Sati.
