My review is solely based on the restaurant. Friends go here often as the food is quite good. Nice selection of breakfast items for a decent price. I would not say the service matches the food quality. The woman we had seemed generally annoyed to be there. I had to ask for menus after 10 minutes. Just kind of mismatched service compared to the food. The venue looks nice, but lots of sugar packets under the tables trying to keep them level. They look like they've been there a long time and the tables still wobble. All in all, decent meals but don't count of quality service.

Very nice hotel with a lot of history. Everything is super clean. Just 2 minutes away from the water and down town. Some elements in the rooms would maybe need to be refreshed a bit. Other than that awesome place to stay. The hotel has a pool, gym, bar, restaurent for breakfast and supper.

Cozy room with a traditional look and feel. Modern conveniences (wi-fi of course) in downtown Charlottetown.

I was lead to believe that this is one of the better hotels in town. Well, the higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment. I mean, when it was built in the 1930's, it probably was quite posh. But a few decades have passed since, haven't they? So, no. Not everything that's old qualifies as vintage. In this particular case, the descriptions that come to mind are "outdated" and "dilapidated". The room doors are still stylish, yes. But the rest... The bureau could've been old-school charming, were it not so dinged and scratched. The love seat is just atrocious. The carpets that look like they were salvaged from a cheap apartment building. And don't even get me started about the cracked walls, the ceiling flaking off, and the bathroom that's taken right out of a horror movie. So the only 2 things this hotel really has got going for it are the location (just steps from Queen Street), and the impeccable service of the staff. Other than that... I've seen better rooms in roadside motels.
