I go to the Post Office frequently and this office BY FAR is the best office within 50 miles of Springfield Illinois. The clerks are so friendly and helpful and address me as soon as I walk into the door which makes me feel like they care. My carrier is very friendly and always greets me with a smile. Not sure why other people have had problems here because I NEVER do. Please be nice to your local Post Office as they are really under a great deal of stress.

We live at 58 WESTMINSTER and yet the only way online stores recognize us is if we put 58 WESTMINISTER!!! WHHHHAAAAAT? AND WE MAY GET MAIL 3 DAYS A WEEK! AND OUR Last package ended up 4 doors down from us (which they opened) and then the mail man literally had to go and retrieve our packages the next day to bring to us!
I’ve never had a problem with Chatham USPS. Today, I went there because a package of mine had arrived there. The package was a dress for a funeral I will be attending tonight, of a very close friend of mine who passed away in a car accident. I walked in there knowing It would be a little annoying to search for my package. I already felt bad. They really made me feel like a burden. The fact that I wasn’t patient enough to just wait for it to be delivered tomorrow really aggravated them, and that they had to search for it when I know the packages are already separated by location. I’ve never been sighed at as aggressively as I was. They tried to make me feel very small when I’m trying to feel appreciative. I’ve been emotional all day, but I definitely walked out of there with tears in my eyes about how they made me feel.
If I could give zero I would. The mailman on my route must not like doing his job? Not friendly, huffs and puffs having to carry a package to my porch and this is the third time I have watched him toss a heavy package on my porch that clearly states FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE... classless.
Marilyn and Lisa are the the real deal. Need something done? Lisa and Marilyn handle stuff FAST!! Love this post office...
