My husband recently suffered a severe brain trauma and was unable to work for several months, thankfully we took out income protection a couple of years ago, otherwise I don't know how we would have coped. I took cover out through totally in november last year mainly to cover me for my downhill mountain biking. It was all set up over the course of the day and i found the adviser very professional and patient with me whilst i asked quite a few questions. to be honest after taking the cover out i forgot about it and continued to ride as normal. on february 8th of this year i had an off and fractured my ankle, basically coming round a corner fast and my foot slipped, lost my balance and fell hard. on the monday i phoned in to totally sports and was passed to their claims team, they told me exactly what needed doing and i pretty much phoned every day bugging them until i had sent off what i needed to, they were helpful. long story short, i got a 800 payout straight away for the fracture on my ankle, and because i was off work for the next 6 weeks i got 1500 over that period too. it just meant that it wasnt really as much of an issue financially not being in work for that time. overall it did what it said it would, and the guys there have always had the time to help me, so i literally cant say much more, 5 stars deserved.

I requested a quote, a gentleman called Sam called me asking personal questions no relevant to work or health. After a long while on the phone he refused to give a quote bcoz I didnt want to provide my address. He called back arguing with me and no manners. No enough he sent a text. Time wasters, as I made clear from beginning I prefer no provide my full address till I make a decision

Pretty poor experience. After cancelling policy with Insurance company Totally Sports Insurance had brokered the deal with, within 14 days, they tried charging me 100 ‘administration costs’ until I had argued the toss and the payment was removed. Had I not known my rights with insurance they would have been happy to fleece me of 100

partner injured playing hockey, cover through totally gave us payouts until he was able to work again. never think you'll need it but so glad we did. easy enough to setup and very friendly when it came to claim. 5/5
