Nice and cool atmosphere. The delicacies of Calcutta is found here under one roof. Covid protocols were also followed. Enjoyed the food especially Rui - Kalia, Moong dal and Luchii basket. That was the best for me.

Been to Bayleaf along with my friends on Bengali new year day... Location is easy to find and has enough parking space too. Interiors were decent with good Bengali music and comfortable seating. Service staff were very hospitable. They had a specially curated menu for the new year occasions. We tried 2 started, 3 mains along with rice and local breads. I personally felt the food were little on sweeter side. Whereas generally Bengali food is spicy. That was a lil down part otherwise overall it was good experience. Drink was also great, just right amount of sweetness and tanginess. Thank you very much

This restaurant is just near to Stella Mary College in cathedral road. Ambience is nice and sober. It's a small restaurant which predominantly serves authentic bengali food along with other cuisines. Presently kebab festival is going on as a celebration of Christmas and New year. Tried Murgh khazana kebab, chicken dum biryani, Rui Kalia, mutton kasha and malpowa with rabdi. The kebab and malpowa were too good but other dishes were average. Bengalis craving for biryani with potato and boiled egg may definitely try here once. But it's definitely expensive. If you don't want to burn a hole in your pocket, please try Petuk in Perungudi.

Located inside a street, opposite St Marie's College, beside Gangotri sweets, their google location fooled me, and ultimately I have to call the restaurant! Small restaurant, taste of food is average as compared to authentic bengali cuisine (i am a bengali, food lover and cook). Many non-famous restaurants of kolkata can easily beat them when it comes to taste! Ordered Fish Kobiraji and chicken curry with rice. None of my bengali friends who are kobiraji lover, couldn't identify it from the picture of fish kobiraji! Chicken curry was so so, lacks potato, which every bengali chicken curry used to have. This place is bit over priced too! Ambience is just OK! However, in Chennai, this may be the taste of bengal.

A good place in Chennai for rolls. They have a take away counter out if you wish to just stand and eat. If you want to enjoy your rolls along with proper meals, then you have an option of a cozy ambience in their restaurant. The service is quick, rolls are also good, but there is some missing element. I tried the mutton roll, it was good juicy. But the special South Indian flavour was missing somewhere I feel.

The best Bengali food in Chennai. The food is authentic with almost all bengali food in the menu. Only place were you get the authentic Bengali Katti roll. Ingredients are fresh. I got a sneek peek to the kitchen and must say one of the cleanest kitchen that i have seen by far. Sure is a place for comfort food.
