So very pathetic!! NEVER opt for a prepaid taxi at Chennai Central Railway Station as its all looting which is happening there.On Ola it showed 200 for my route whereas they charged 500 for this stupid taxi. As left with no choice, had to pay and go.Kindly don't get any prepaid service at the station.Pls GO WITH OLA/UBER.
Be careful. This Booth is not customer friendly and running with sole objective to fleece the travelers. They will quote atleast 3 times of reasonable fare and dupe unsuspecting travelers. Infact, please avoid taxis and autos waiting outside the station exit gates. It is better to take service of OLA/UBER or avail very convenient modes of public transport available at the station i.e.Bus and Chennai Metro
They charge too high. Worst experience. I would recommend everyone to book ola or uber
Please be careful while you book any taxi. Driver may ask you more money than they ask you on the stand. Use olacab or Uber instead. Make prepaid taxi your last option.
I had very worst experience at Chennai Central Railway Station with Cab / Auto Drivers on 07/11/2018 (around 1800 hrs) while we reached there along with family. Around 4-5 drivers approached to us near the exit gate and asked us for cab or auto. When we told them the destination to go, they are asking high rate for the same. As per our information as we are new for that place it was very high. So we tried to approach pre-paid taxi counter. The men available there simply denied that there is no auto available. After getting negative reply from him I had decided to approach Police help counter , When I was proceeding towards police help cabin the cab / auto drivers started abusing us using un-parliamentary words. I requested to the policeman at the police help counter & showed my ID card as I am an Officer from Government of India, Ministry of Defence. Immediately the policeman reacted and came out of the cabin and helped us for auto, the man at prepaid auto counter after that immediately within no time arranged auto for us. It is very shameful that our country is welcoming visitors "ATEETHI DEVO BHAV" if this kind of attitude / insult will be done at the time of welcome, how new visitors will come to the city. So I request to all please be careful.
Taxi is good for travel but price too higher then other
total overpriced! Its better to use Uber! Not tourist friendly!
