Very neat and clean metro station. Staffs are available to guide the people. Loved the cleanliness of the station. Both escalator and lift is available to meet the passengers requirement.
Late Chief Minister Selvi J.Jayalalitha named Metro Railway Station
This station is to the International standard. Just entering from a bustling CMBT BUS TERMINAL gives you a different experience. Well planned and centrally located to cater to the Commuters from Bus terminal. After reading so much about CHENNAI METRO and witnessed its construction years back, decided to ride on Chennai Metro Stopped at Arumbakkam, the next station. CMBT METRO STATION is on the Line 2 of Chennai Metro along the corridor Central and St. Thomas mount. Its opened in 2015. Now you can reach to Airport from here. I understand parking is available and Bicycle facility available. It's clean and ambience, atmosphere is so good you will like to use this station to Commute in Hot Chennai City. But to my surprise and disappointment there were very few people on the platform and the incoming Train from Central also was near empty. Why Chennaiyans not using Metro? Please use Metro. In Bengaluru one won't get space even to stand.
Well maintained and easily accessible to all facilities. Escalators and lifts, steps are available for each and very platforms. Toilets are near and clean. Drinking mineral water and vending snack machines are good to use. Each and every train announcement are made from early morning till midnight.
