Our objective is to create social space for our people, sexual identity and support LGBT rights. We have more than 3000 registered members with us. Chennai Dost is the pioneer of gay parties in Chennai. Our themed parties such as Rain party, GPL, Karumbu-Pongal, Valentine's day had large number of participants and exciting entertainment Vision To create a healthy, non sexual social space for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual men and women in South India. To help LGBQ understand their civil rights. To help LGBQ understand the issues concerning their sexuality and Identity. To connect them with their peers. To be the voice of Gay, Bisexual men and women in south India. Mission To focus on issues identity crisis, orientation crisis, coming out, ostracization, violence, harassment, peer pressure and sex. To conduct discussions, meetings, workshops, exhibitions and movie screenings and festivals. To sensitize and educate the media and the film industry, to perpetuate the stereotypes and myths about LGBQ and help them project fair, inclusive and respectable articles about LGBQs. To work closely with organizations inclined towards advocacy and lively hood support. To offer peer counseling and to form a “Youth wing” to support young LGBQ men and women who are 18 years and above.
