The church is not that big. There are a lot of mosquitoes during the evening and that makes it difficult to stand there and pray for some time. The shop nearby to buy candles was closed around 6:30 pm and I couldn't offer candles at the church. There are better churches in Chennai.

Nice AC effect.. u can bargain a lot. Plz do this: They cheat u with the electricity charges So check for the meter reading before and after ur function. Venue is really nice. But you have to bargain a lot.. my estimate was 48 thousand but I paid 31 thousand only so bargain a lot

That’s a very nice church hidden in plain sight near Tambaram sanatorium station. As it’s a pilgrim centre, it is quite well known to the members of the Syrian orthodox denomination. I wish the church community is a bit more open n inviting to non-members of the Syrian orthodox fraternity who wish to understand the nuances of orthodox Christianity. Church is exquisite, and recently they’ve rebuilt the parish hall!

The only pilgrimage church outside kerala under orthodox madras diocese. Sunday Service begins at 7.00 AM with prabhatha namaskaram ( Morning prayer) and Holy Qurbana begins at 8.00 AM.
