The company was started in 2012 by a marketing professional who lived in Germany for over 4 years, where he saw people in general, besides the government, were showing keen interest for renewable energy like solar power though the sunlight was scarce in their country. People were generating power from their rooftops not only for their own use , but also contributing some to the Grid. It was surprising to note that 30% of the power generation in Germany was from renewable energy sources. It lead to a thought "​ why solar power cannot be used in India where sunlight is abundant ?!"​ . Like minded people with technical background with know-how of solar power and project management joined subsequently leading to formation our company "​ NEO ENERGY CONSULTANTS"​.
